Hosting and server logs
This website is hosted by Infomaniak Network SA, Rue Eugène-Marziano 25, 1227 Les Acacias, Geneva, Switzerland.
When the website is accessed, the hosting infrastructure may process technical server-log information such as the requested page, date and time, IP address, referring URL, browser information and operating system. This information is used to deliver the website reliably, maintain its security and investigate technical problems. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in securely and reliably operating the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Infomaniak processes hosting data on our behalf under its data-processing agreement. Switzerland benefits from an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
Contact enquiries
If you contact us through the contact form, by email or by telephone, we process the contact details and information you provide so that we can respond to your enquiry. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where the communication concerns a possible or existing contractual relationship. For other enquiries, the legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to communications under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Messages submitted through the contact form are transmitted using Infomaniak’s authenticated email infrastructure.
Audience measurement
We use a first-party, aggregate analytics system to understand whether the website is being visited and how its content is used.
The system records daily aggregate counts for pages and sections viewed, selected clicks, video starts, engagement periods, website-language selections, referring domains, broad device, browser and operating-system categories, primary browser language, browser timezone, approximate connection country and a basic technical estimate of automated traffic.
For the country statistic only, the connection’s IP address is matched against a country-only database held locally on our server. The address is used transiently for this lookup, is not sent to an external geolocation service and is not written to the analytics database. A VPN or proxy may cause its exit country to appear instead of the actual location.
The analytics database does not store IP addresses, full referring URLs, raw user-agent strings, individual visits, unique visitor identifiers or visitor profiles. It uses no analytics cookies, advertising identifiers, fingerprinting, cross-site tracking, session replay or heatmaps. Referrers are reduced to the referring hostname, and raw browser information is discarded after broad technical categories are derived. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals are respected.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our content and the technical operation of the website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Aggregate analytics information is retained for 395 days and then automatically deleted.
Cookies and browser storage
The public website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
When the contact form is opened, a temporary session cookie named ncne_contact is used to protect and process the form. It is restricted to the contact service and expires when the browser session ends. When you choose a website language, that preference is stored locally in your browser so the website can remember your selection. Temporary session storage may also remember a previous scroll position when you navigate to another page and return; it is removed after use or when the browser session ends. These functions are not used to monitor visitors or create profiles.
The protected administration area uses a secure session cookie for authenticated administrators. It is not used for ordinary website visitors.
Retention
General enquiries are normally deleted after 12 months. Information connected with a project, client relationship, legal obligation or accounting requirement may be retained for the applicable contractual or statutory period. Technical server logs are retained by Infomaniak in accordance with the applicable hosting configuration and contractual terms.
Recipients and international processing
We do not sell personal data. Information is disclosed only where necessary to operate the website, respond to enquiries, comply with legal obligations or protect the website’s security. Our principal technical service provider is Infomaniak Network SA in Switzerland.
As the controller is established in the United States, information you send directly to us may be processed there. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for international processing.
Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration and destruction.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data. You may also request restricted processing, object to processing based on legitimate interests, request data portability, withdraw consent where applicable and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
For a privacy request or any question about this policy, email hello@ncne.cc.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
